Glad to Have Hot Water Again
Paul came on a Wednesday, diagnosed the water heater problem within minutes, ordered the parts from Rheem, and was gone within 30 minutes. The return appointment was the following Tuesday at 8–9 a.m. Paul was here by 8:30, put the new parts in, and was gone within 15 minutes. Glad to have hot water again after cold showers for 7 days. I can't comment on the price because the cost was covered by AHS.

Stedman's Plumbing was referred by my home insurance company, and I was very impressed with Dan's (and Paul’s) professionalism, friendliness, and commitment to getting the job done right. I've had other plumbers look at my water heater and conclude they didn't know anything about that particular unit, and walked away. However, Dan called the manufacturer on multiple occasions, waiting in long lines on the phone. Additionally, he researched online in order to educate himself about my water heater, and was able to identify and replace the malfunctioning part.

Steadman's Plumbing replaced a control valve on my water heater under AO Smith's warranty. Unfortunately, AO Smith doesn't cover labor after the first year. I had a competitor quote me $500 to install the part shown in the photo. I remained calm when he mentioned it and knew he was price-gouging. Steadman's quoted me significantly less and was straightforward and honest. They did not try to take advantage of me. You don't need to look any further—give them a call!

My service person was Paul. He was very nice and polite, knew what he was doing, and finished the job quickly. The only issue was he announced he was on his way at noon and did not get to my home until after 1:15 p.m. with no communication stating his time frame or delay (like traffic, catching lunch prior to arrival, etc.). When I finally called the company, they stated he was coming from the Madera area, but that is still only a 30-minute drive by highway. Wish he kept me up to date so other things could have been accomplished in that time frame.

After I called late Friday, a technician (J.R.) was sent quickly to assess the problem on Saturday, and when easy solutions didn’t work, technicians (J.R. and Paul) returned Monday to replace the sewage line under my house. They were friendly (and funny!), and as unobtrusive as possible. I am happy to have found a reliable new plumber and will recommend.
