Yes — membership has a 12-month initial term. You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice; cancellation stops the next auto-renewal but does not entitle you to a refund of the remaining initial-term fees. Your benefits stay active through the end of your current paid term.
A licensed Stedman's technician inspects your full plumbing system — fixtures, supply lines, shutoff valves, water heater, visible drain lines, and a sewer camera inspection to check the condition of your main sewer line. You'll receive a written report with any preventative recommendations.
The 20% discount applies to labor charges on all billable service work performed by Stedman's during active membership. It does not apply to parts, materials, permits, or the membership fee itself. It also does not apply to the included annual services (since those are already included at no charge).
Membership is tied to the property address. You can transfer the remaining term to the new owner, or transfer to your new address under the same account — just notify us in writing. That's a great selling point when you list the home.
Under California Business & Professions Code §17600, we're required to clearly disclose auto-renewal terms, send a reminder at least 15 days before each renewal, and make cancellation easy.
